Happy New Year, 2015 has finally arrived with much pomp and fanfare. The New Year offers an opportunity to start things on a fresh slate. It is the period for letting go of the old to make way for the new. If you have been going round in circles previously, it is time to let go of the energies that have kept you stuck. If you have been distracted along the way last year, it is time to once again set your priorities straight. (Extracted from “Positive ways to start 2015”, Edgars Club Magazine, December 2014 edition, pp64) I did not read this article until the 1st January 2015 and I found it to be very timely and my soul resonated with the message. So I thought it is also necessary that I add my two cents to the whole discourse, this time focussing on the “Happy” word that floats around with abandon at this time.
You actually feel happy when you see and experience the dawn of a new year. Perhaps it is t
he hope that comes with the New Year which stimulates this state of happiness. It is however, discouraging to note that for many people; this happiness soon fizzles out into thin air as the realities of life reappear. Is it possible to hold onto this state of happiness and secure it so it becomes a part of you as you traverse the rugged terrain of the New Year? I believe it is possible and would like to share a few nuggets on how this can be done.
